I do hope you are all enjoying the cooling breezes after this very hot summer!
Thanks to all those who attended our meetings in July and August and of course to Finola, Di, Fay, Mercy and Anita who all helped to make the meetings enjoyable.
Regarding our next meeting Friday September 27th – at 10.30 am.
As you know we have had a lot of problems with the HOGAR Centre which is still not open through bureaucracy. Now they tell us we cannot use the patio at the moment as it is being painted!
So, I am very pleased to tell you that Lux Mundi have agreed to let us use their lovely Centre for our meetings. Until Christmas we have the library and in the New Year one of the classrooms. They have a refreshment bar for tea and coffee etc. and I do hope you will avail yourselves of this service too. There should be a nice busy atmosphere there as the Dutch Club use the facility as well.
As usual we will have Fay from Angels Nursing and I am happy to hear that Dr. Rachel Garrod will also come to speak to us. This time she will be bringing her machine to offer lung functions to those who request it and will also give us a talk about neuropathy – this can affect other parts of the body as well as nerve endings in the hands and feet. The stomach and oesophagus nerves can also become sluggish (autonomic neuropathy) as well as around other organs. I am sure you will find the subject very interesting.
How to get to Lux Mundi and where to park:
Parking is on meters along the paseo and the nearest area is by Restaurant Tahiti.
NB: You cannot drive directly from the paseo to Calle Nueva as there are bollards which come out of the ground! Alternative parking is in the Town Hall Car Park which is across the main road into Fuengirola. Lux Mundi is just 5 minutes walk in either direction close to the park. There is free parking in the other side streets but the best free parking is in the car park opposite the mosque, less than 10 min walk away.
Lux Mundi address is Calle Nueva 3, Fuengirola …..tel 952 474 840….(Martha runs the centre)

I do hope as many as possible will come along to this meeting. Don’t forget your input at the meetings can help those who need more information.
There is a short flight of stairs to the Library.
Look forward to seeing you soon.
